We were contacted by a regional real estate holding corporation regarding an abandoned warehouse facility FULL of equipment and packaging. After discussing the client needs and time-line ReRem Equipment Corp. was contracted to conduct a preliminary assessment and formulate a work-plan. The four-day investigation & review revealed numerous water process components, salvageable scrap metal, bulk paper-fiber and refuse plastics to be the primary contents. Also noted were suspected asbestos-containing materials, waste liquids, and lab-pack items.
ReRem Equipment Corp. coordinated the salvage and recycling portions of the project, recovering $15,000 for the client. We also assisted the client in selecting and environmental cleanup consultant capable of completing the clean-out & clean-up. The 120,000 square foot facility is currently under contract for re-sale.
