In order to provide a meaningful estimate for contract services, the following (abridged) information is helpful. This is the base information, whether the job is drilling, excavating or testing.
- Today’s date and RFQ due date;
- Your company information, contact information and #’s;
- Job name, location, scope of work and approximate duration;
- Job goal, provisions, limitations or extraordinary expectations;
- Contract inclusions, exclusions and potential award date;
- Contractor requirements (insurance, H&S, prevailing rates, man-power);
- Time-frame, performance or production metrics.
Providing complete information to a broad field of contractors will result in better contract assessment and superior job implementation.
