Remediation equipment rental programs

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Many environmental remediation projects can be quickly implemented and dynamically-scaled using a phased technology and capacity approach.  Typically, initial response requires large, high-capacity technologies during the ER / Investigation / Interim Solution period of the project.  As the concentrations and areal extent are delineated and attenuated smaller, more specialized equipment is deployed.

This is where ReRem can help.  Our warehouses contain a variety of commonly required remediation technologies and hardware, ready to go.  We can save your client the lead-time and capital-expense of short-term hardware.  The consultant can address the issue while we provide the horsepower for the initial mass-removal, then de-escalate as the equipment needs change.

This prompt response can save the RP through plume minimization and initial equipment costs.  It aids the consultant in providing time for a thorough investigation and proper long-term system design.  WIN-WIN.

Feasibility studies, or pilot-test services

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

Essential to any remedial action is a proper understanding of the site-specific geology as it related to fluid flow.  Treatability studies, also known as: pilot-test, feasibility study (FS) or aquifer testing is recommended by EPA*.

Upon completion of the remedial investigation, which documents the extent and magnitude of the impact, a remedial action plan should include aquifer testing to assess appropriate technology application and establish equipment sizing.  Common testing programs include: Sparging, Venting, Distance-Drawdown, Tracer, or LNAPL recovery.  ReRem Equipment Corp. provides testing services for these technologies, including equipment, mobile power source, hoses & adapters, and on-site assistant.  Our 54kW generator and variable frequency drives assure a viable dataset.

  • Sparging: from 2 to 100 SCFM @ up to 100PSI
  • Venting: 10 to 1600 SCFM @ upto 12″HG
  • Pump-testing: potable or VOC impacted, including submersible pump, hoses, meters & loggers
  • Vacuum Enhanced Groundwater Extraction (VEGE): constant drawdown at stepped vacuum
  • Low-profile aeration: 10 to 250 GPM, ideal for pit dewatering & frac-tanks

Testing is inexpensive, especially when compared to a misdesigned remedial action plan.  We are a supplement to the services of consultants / contractors / responsible parties.  We are here to HELP.
